Also available are products that are part of a complete
Built-Up Roofing (BUR) system. The products listed below
are meant to work together to provide a strong low-slope
roofing system that is easy to apply and even easier to
recommend.
Application of the adhesive in the controlled factory environment
assures consistency of the application without voids or
adhesive pooling. Asphalt is modified with SBS polymers
and is reinforced with polyester/fiberglass.
Base sheet:
Use TG-2™ as the base sheet. This is mechanically
fastened with metal cap nails per manufacturer's specifications
for a strong and secure base.
Mid-ply sheet:
Use ShieldGard™ as the mid-ply sheet. This is sand
surfaced and is self-adhering. The sand absorbs into the
sheet, leaving a monolithic bond for a true BUR system.
Cap sheet:
Use RoofGard SA CAP P and RoofGard SA CAP P-FR for a safe,
easy-to-install finish. With the Grip-Lap™ selvage
edge "Peel-Place and Go" installation, no hot-mopping
is required.
